Over the last five days, there has been an outpouring of community across this country.  From the #ghostlightproject to the #J20 art strike  and then the Women's March, we've gathered together as a public showing of what matters to us.  This has been important, but now, the work of every single day must continue.  

Inspired by the write in that Primary Stages / ESPA hosted on Sunday in NYC, I would like to curate an evening of theater that speaks to the different experiences people have had over the last days.  It can be a monologue, a short play, a performative poem, or anything else you can think of!

This gathered work will be performed as the first Salon Series of 2017 on February 24th, one month from today.

I, Ria T. DiLullo, founder and artistic director of TSR, readily acknowledge that there hasn't been an update in a while.  Much like many of you, I experienced the roller coaster that was 2016.  However, that year is now past. With an attitude towards a firm footing in 2017, I say hello!

I had an exciting fall here in NYC. I assisted Jackson Gay on two Off-Broadway productions: Chix 6 by Lourds Lane and Stuffed by Lisa Lampanelli.  I was a teaching assistant at ESPA/Primary Stages for Kate Whoriskey, Mortiz von Stuelpnagel, and Anne Kaufman.  I added a new class to my roster as a Pilates teaches at Chelsea Movements.

In this coming season, I will be pushing through director's applications, TA-ing and taking a solo performance class with Judy Gold, as well as accepting Salon Series proposals on a submission basis.  Emily Claire Schmitt and I also continue to develop last season's show, Whatchamacallit: A Play About Jesus.  Folks... it might become a musical.  We put some clips online, to keep all of us inspired.
