We are currently accepting 2 types of applications for our 2022 Salon Series & developmental season. Scroll down to learn more.

#1 - If you have an un-produced 1-act or full length that fits our mission statement, we want to hear from you!

#2 - ​We are also looking for a handful of first drafts to develop based on our prompt "Scenes From Service." The premise is, submit an idea where you place a mythological or legendary figure inside a contemporary service industry.

  • WHEN IS YOUR SUBMISSION DEADLINE? - Our submission deadline for the 2022 Season is midnight PST on Christmas Eve, 2021.
  • DOES MY PLAY FIT WITH YOUR COMPANY? - While our mission is specific, we believe that the interpretations are vast and wide. We recommend familiarizing yourself with our Salon Series history page and our YouTube channel, as well as our production history to determine if you think your play fits.
  • CAN MY PLAY HAVE BEEN PRODUCED BEFORE? - Since we are a company that focuses on the development and production of new works, we do not accept plays that have been previously produced unless extensive changes have been made since the production draft, with an eye towards further development.
  • HOW DEVELOPED SHOULD MY SUBMISSION PAGES BE?  - If you are applying with a 1-act or full length play, we anticipate that you have completed a full draft with an eye towards further development. However, we have accepted plays that have been years in the making and also months in the making. If you are applying with a new short based on the "Scenes from Service" prompt, we will accept anything from an outline or summary and cast of characters to a fully developed draft with a beginning, middle, and end.
  • CAN I APPLY WITH MULTIPLE SCRIPTS? - You may (and are even encouraged to) apply in both categories: a full length and a prompt-based short, but you may not send multiple submissions in both categories.
  • WHEN WILL I FOUND OUT ABOUT MY SUBMISSION STATUS? - Those selected for the second round will be notified via email by January 9th, 2022. Everyone selected for both the Salon Series and the short play development will be notified by February 6th, 2022.  We will announce our season mid-February 2022.
