ISABELLA JANE SCHILLER
Hey!
Isabella Jane Schiller (or Izzy as her friends call her) is an actor and producer. Born, bred, and based in Manhattan she first discovered her love for performance while acting in the 4th of July plays her cousins put together as a toddler, but she truly found her love of the stage in high school where she spent 30 hours a week in the black box.
Isabella shifted her focus in college to politics and chose to explore a different type of performance—political campaigning and directing local field campaigns while studying. Isabella graduated from The University of Michigan magna cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Women’s Studies and ultimately realized it was time to head back to New York and her original true love, acting. Her background in progressive grassroots politics has deeply influenced her work as an actor and in production.
Her work now marries her passion for art and activism, as both an actor in women-driven stories on the screen and the stage, and as Development coordinator and company general manager for the production company and advocacy organization Parity Productions. She also serves on the board of Jezebel Productions, the longest operating women-owned indie film production company.
Isabella has always loved myth—she distinctly remembers wishing The Odyssey would never end when she first read it, and devoured mythology-based comic books as a kid. She is so excited to be taking her relationship with Skeleton Rep to the next level as a Core Member after acting in numerous Salons and in Devices of Torture by Caroline Bennett, directed by Ria T. DiLullo. You can view more of her work at isabellajaneschiller.com.
